Are my selected files uploaded anywhere?
The tools read selected images, PDFs and sprite metadata locally, process them in your browser and generate downloads on your device. The current application has no file-processing upload endpoint. Pages, scripts, decoder assets and configured analytics can still make network requests; local processing does not mean zero network activity. Files you choose to email for support are separate. Which tool do I need?
Use the Which Tool? guide to choose by task. Image Resizer changes dimensions, Image Compressor reduces file size and Image Cropper keeps a selected region. Dedicated HEIC and DNG converters handle supported phone-photo originals. Merge PDF combines existing documents and image pages; Image to PDF starts from images.
What browsers are supported?
Use a current Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge browser. Required APIs differ by tool: HEIC and DNG conversion require WebAssembly, Web Workers and OffscreenCanvas. Codec support and available memory also vary. If a tool reports an unsupported file or browser feature, use its error message rather than assuming every file works in every browser. No extension is required.
What file formats work?
Formats depend on the tool. Image Converter exports PNG, JPG and WebP. The dedicated photo converters read supported HEIC/HEIF or DNG originals and export JPG or PNG. GIF to Sprite Sheet reads animated GIF; Sprite Sheet Animator exports GIF from existing frames. PDF tools read or write PDF as described on their pages. Aseprite Sprite Sheet Unpacker needs a PNG/WebP sheet and matching exported JSON, not a native .aseprite file. JPG cannot preserve transparency.
Can I process multiple files?
Several tools support batches, but limits are not shared: Image Converter accepts up to 20 files and Image Compressor up to 50. HEIC/DNG conversion and crop/watermark workspaces accept up to 200 files and 512 MB of originals; each editing image or HEIC is capped at 50 MB, and each DNG at 100 MB. Processing is sequential where implemented, not unlimited simultaneous decoding. Download and clear completed work before adding another batch.
Is there a file size or image dimension limit?
Yes. Limits vary by tool and can include bytes, dimensions, total pixels, frame counts and pages. Merge PDF accepts up to 20 files, 300 pages and 80 MB of combined input, and image inputs are limited to 20 million pixels. Photo converters and crop/watermark images are limited to 60 million pixels and 16,384 pixels per side. Smaller device memory can cause a job to fail even below a safety limit. Check the relevant tool page and reduce the workload if needed.
Will HEIC or DNG conversion preserve all photo information?
No. These converters export 8-bit rendered still images, not complete originals. EXIF/GPS metadata, RAW editing latitude, HDR information and Live Photo video are not preserved. HEIC containers export the first top-level still image. DNG support varies by camera and compression; other RAW formats renamed to .dng are not supported. Keep your originals and inspect the downloaded output for orientation, color and detail.
Can I reorder PDF pages or insert images?
Merge PDF lets you add PDFs and PNG, JPG or WebP images, preview pages, drag to reorder, and delete individual or selected pages before downloading. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked in another application first. PDF to Image renders pages to pictures; Image to PDF assembles pictures into a document. These tools do not apply OCR or make image text editable.
Is ImageMint free?
All 23 current tools are free, with no paid tier or required account. That does not mean unlimited files or unlimited memory: tool-specific safety limits still apply. The site may show advertising.
Can I use ImageMint for commercial projects?
The service allows personal and commercial processing. ImageMint does not claim ownership of your inputs or generated outputs, but processing does not grant rights to third-party images, logos or other content. Use files you have permission to process and consult Terms for the complete conditions.
Does ImageMint use AI to remove backgrounds or animate characters?
Background Remover samples corner colors for flat backgrounds; it is not AI subject extraction. PNG Edge Cleaner adjusts fringes on already-transparent artwork. Pixel Art Upscaler uses nearest-neighbor sampling. Sprite Sheet Animator plays existing frames and exports GIF; it does not create missing poses or generate motion from a single still image.
